When the Virgin Mary appeared to Juan Diego in Mexico in 1531 to give him a message for the Bishop, she left a miraculous image of herself on his tilma. The stars on her cloak are positioned exactly as they were on the day of the miracle in 1531. The painting technique used is unknown. An extraordinary discovery reveals the Spanish origin (from Extremadura, Spain) of the name of Guadalupe and its incredible connection with the Evangelist St. Luke.
